I usually let my patients to have donor area covered for the first night only, and they come on the next day to take the bands off and to have proper washing. Contact your surgeon and get his advice how you should take the band off.
We also advise the bandage removal on second day after completion of transplant. Since your recipient area is also covered with bandage, I would advise you to have bandage removal in your surgeon's clinic to avoid any graft loss.
