How long should I be off phentermine before undergoing an elective surgery like the BBL?

And, you also need to get an EKG before surgery after you stop using the phentermine to confirm you are fine for surgery since phentermine cause arrhythmia. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Hello thank you for your question. You should be off the phentermine for over 30 days prior to surgery as it will interfere with anesthesia. If you are on a weight loss journey, i recommend reaching your goal weight prior to any body contouring procedure like the BBL, as the closer you are to goal weight the better your results will be.  I find it is best not to rush surgery. Take advantage of the kick of energy provided by the phentermine to adapt to a daily exercise regiment, as exercise after a BBL is the best way to preserve your results. Good luck!
