3 days post lipo 500ml or less removed, it looks like nothing was taken out. Is it normal to have this little taken out? (Photo)

With only 500ccs of liposuction it suggests that you are likely thin and this was a finesse procedure.  Most of the time it takes weeks to 3-6 months to see the results when larger volumes are removed, with only 500ccs it will be on the longer end of that spectrum.   Reposting your question with before and after photos would help in giving you a more accurate response. Maximum swelling is usually within about three to five days after your surgery, and the majority of it along with bruising goes away in two to three weeks. You may feel some firmness, though, for a few months afterward. You can assess your results at three to four months after surgery.

It appears that you had a very small amount removed for the locations you are describing.  However, we would need to see photos and get more information regarding the procedure before giving any advice.  As well, 3 days after the procedure you will be very swollen and cannot determine the ultimate results.  If you are concerned, please speak to your physician or come in for a second opinion.  Best, Dr. Emer.

For the most part liposuction is not a judgment procedure. Liposuction is performed until no further fat is coming to the cannula. The amount that comes out depends upon the amount that's present in the area treated. A good result is less than 1 inch skinfold thickness when swelling has resolved.

Hello, Thanks for your question. Truth is, 500 cc were not removed with your liposuction (at least by looking at your photo) because that is part blood and part fat. The amount of fat removed is more like 250 cc. This is in fact a very small amount to remove on a liposuction. Small liposuction outcomes can trick you at the beginning because of the swelling, so don't worry too much about not seeing immediate results.Talk to your surgeon, I'm sure he'll understand your concern.Good luck on your recovery, Dr. Fernandez Goico

Since we don't have a photo or know your height and weight it would be impossible to comment on the volume. On some patients 500cc would be significant, on others not so much.
