I have three children & my waist measures 38 inches, I would like to know the kind of liposuction that can be performed to reduce tummy size to about 28 inches. Also I want to know if I would have to wear a corset around my waist after the liposuction & for how long. What would be the estimated cost involved for this kind of a surgery?

Answer: Impossible to determine decrease in waist circumference by liposuction. I find it almost impossible to predict changes and waist circumference because of liposuction. It depends on the amount and location of the fat as well as variables in the body skeleton.

There is no way to predict a change in waist size after any type of procedure. If a patient does undergo liposuction, I recommend the use of a compression garment for up to four weeks afterward.

Answer: How many inches are lost around the waist after a tummy liposuction? It sounds like you need a serious reality check. That 10 inch waist reduction is not going to happen. The smaller you are the better the results from liposuction. If your BMI is over about 29-30 you are definitely not a candidate for surgery, but rather for first entering into a serious weight loss and exercise program, otherwise you will spend thousands on the surgery and feel like you wasted you money.
