I am 18 days post-op. I have searing sharp pain on left side, where I had lateral chest lipo. My incisions are healing very nicely. I think I over exerted myself the other night helping my husband care for our sick son. Every since I have had a searing kind of shooting pain on my left side, where I had the lateral lipo. This pain is partnered with hypersensitivity. Does this sound like the nerves reawakening?

Answer: Left side pain First of all, congratulations on your liposuction, bdks! It seems to me that you’re only experiencing the sharp pain when you’re exerting yourself. To be honest, I don’t think it’s simply nerve reawakening; it shouldn’t be sharp and searing. Please consult your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon and have yourself physically checked just to be sure. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast reduction Hi dear, thank you for your question. At this point or stage of the healing process, pain shouldn't be a main issue so I recommend consulting your ps right away because certain discomfort may be normal, however sharp pain is not a good sign. Hope this helps,Dr. Jimenez Toribio Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
