Should I move my chin upwards with sliding genioplasty, disregarding the "1:2" ration between philtrum and chin? (Photos)

I saw an oral surgeon and had a consultation about genioplasty. His suggestion was to move my chin upward & forward so that my philtrum and chin will be about the same length. But I found on the internet that the ratio between them should be 1:2 (as the attached image). He told me the ideal ratio depends on the person, but I'm not sure because men's chins are usually long. Should I move my chin upward? Is it fine for me to disregard the philtrum: chin 1:2 ratio? Thank you for your advice.
