Can I make my face look 20 again?

Question

Hi there, I'm 31 years old and want to look 20 to 23 max age again.is this even possible,or is that not realistic? Also what procedures would I need.I look my age so I won't be posting a photo.I have disposable income. I just want to know what's possible.also is it possible to make a 40 year old face look 20 with surgery? Willing to do whatever it takes.

Thank you for your question!Unfortunately, without a photo, I am unable to comment on your concern. However, from what you've mentioned above, for the patients on the younger side, we suggest the non-surgical route i.e. dermal fillers, botox. It looks like you haven't yet explored the non-surgical potential options as the aesthetic option has great benefits to achieve the result you're looking for without you looking down the surgical route which is m permanent. Be sure to set up an appointment to have a physical examination with a certified board plastic surgeon so you can get an idea of the options for you at this moment in time. Good luck in your search!

The short answer is yes and no. Yes if your idea of 20 is the same as my idea of 20 and no if you don't have the appropriate facial features to work with. The best would be to show a picture of you in your 20's next to what you look like now and a real assessment and evaluation an be done.

Overal age appearance is based on the appearance of the face and body. People in the 20s tend to be thin/skinny with very smooth face. People in the 30s tend to be chubbier and with some early sings of aging on the face like wrinkles. To look in the 20s, not only the face but the body shall be rejuvenated. It is also important to know if the current physical appearance matches the chronological age ( eg. heavy  alcohol drinkers in their 30s look like if they are i the 40s, specially due to they "beer belly".Patients interested in overall rejuvenation  should make a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon specialized in plastic surgery procedures of the face, neck and body

Without a photo or seeing you in person, I can't really give you specifics, but yes, there are lots of surgical and non-surgical options for rejuvenating the face. However, realistically, most are going to shave off 7-10 years. Twenty is simply too long of a stretch. Best of luck.

Facelift technique results in a younger and natural, but not "done," look. The surgery is done in a deeper plane which results in a full-thickness skin and subcutaneous tissue flap, which is redraped and elevated vertically over a repositioned SMAS layer. This avoids the "windswept" effect of pulling back too severely only the top layers of soft tissue.

Thanks for your question.  I don't know, sight unseen, whether it's possible to make you look 20 again. I would caution you that looking a certain age is a very subjective goal, and I encourage my patients to have goals based on how they feel about themselves rather than looking a certain age.

So much depends on where one starts in order to estimate the success one might ultimately achieve.  In general terms, I have a number of 31 year old patients who look younger and better with targeted treatments.   Not all individuals will ultimately look 20 years old when they walk out the front door, but they invariably look better, and some of them do indeed look in their early 20s.  I am unable to predict which patient will look a little younger, and which one will look a lot younger.  The best way to look at things is to commit yourself to looking the best you can in your 30s, 40s, and beyond.  A visit to the plastic surgeon is a key element for ultimate success.  Take care of all the factors: healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, stay out of the sun, stay lean, diminish stress, workout regularly.  Importantly, regular botox, filler, fat grafting,  and skin rejuvention treatments collectively will keep you looking young and the best that you can be.  The financial effort is worth it.
