How long till i can do MMA and boxing 'sparring/training' after otoplasty? (Not real fight)

Hi I had otoplasty (ear correction) done 10 days ago. I am wondering how long tilland if i would be able to do MMA or boxing sparring. Not real fights, just sparring, so maybe the odd light impact to ear and folding of the ear when doing ground work. It wont be high impact, just minor. Will this be ok? How long tilli cansagely do this without risk of damaging, reversing the procedure? Many thanks.

Although it is not “real fighting”, if I were you I would not engage in “sparring/training” for at least 3 months after the otoplasty procedure performed. Even then, I would suggest that you have the area covered/protected as you spar. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to specific recommendations. Best wishes.

You need to be very careful with your ears and protect them as much as possible for at least 6 weeks after an otoplasty procedure. In fact, sleeping on your ears or a casual brush in the wrong direction could compromise the result. These situations are easily avoided by wearing a small head band over the ears for protection several weeks after surgery. You should ask the advice of your surgeon, but much of your answer depends on how much you value your new look.
