Hello. Just a question. I have been on isotretinoin (roaccutane/accutane) for a month now and i have noticed my face and hands are slightly red/pinker than usual. Im thinking this could be due to skin being more sensitive to sun but want to make sure. Weather where i live hasnt exactly been hot or anything... People keep commenting and asking if i have been on holiday :-P

There is no reason you cant have surgery while on the medication but if you needed to have something elective and wanted to stop you can do so as early as 3 days before and have no problems. Best, Dr. Emer.
