I've been breaking out on my face, neck, ears, back, chest, all the way down to my stomach and the top of my buttocks since I was 11. I'm now 26. I've tried antibiotics, prescription topical ointments, and quite literally every over the counter treatment. Nothing makes more than a small difference. I've been considering accutane for a few years now. Is it possible I could be prescribed it, without having to do more bogus topicals and antibiotics? I live in the Phoenix area.

I recommend that you discontinue the Accutane while you are away and restart it once you get back. I would also contact your prescribing physician and inform them that you are holding the medication for a week because of vacation. I would also strongly encourage and recommend that...
It is not unheard of to have to repeat a course of Accutane.
There are many variables in place such as skin type, severity of acne, and
dosage that determine this. If you are starting to break out more and more, a
second opinion from a different dermatologist may be helpful.
