Thanks for this question.Botox is very versatile and can affect eyelid position if used expertly.Unfortunately it cannot be used to improve the epicanthal fold.
Botox can help with altering the position of the eyebrows depending on how it is injected, but it will not significantly alter the appearance of epicanthal folds. Surgery is required to alter the folds. You should schedule a consult with a board certified surgeon that has significant experience in treating Asian eyelids--this is not something that all surgeons commonly treat.
Hi Debbie19,Unfortunately Botox will not improve or rise your epicanthal fold. Please consider consulting a board certified Facial/Plastic Surgeon for your alternatives.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz
In all likelihood botox will not reduce this - only surgical correction can do so. Best of luck.
I am afraid, not. Although proper BOTOX injection is reliable at producing a brow lift, epicanthal folds are a different issue. Release of epicanthal folds is a principle maneuver in changing the appearance an Asian upper eyelid to a European (Western) upper eyelid. It typically requires a double opposing Z-plasty incisional technique.
No Botox would not help you improve the epicanthal folds. Please make sure you do your research and find a board certified PS.Best of Luck !
Hello Debbie19,Botox can be used for many things. It does not affect the eyelids in a positive way (it can be used if the eyelid is having a spasm but it will drop your eyelid if used incorrectly for cosmetic purposes). I hope that helps and good luck.
Botox has no effect on this medication and although the medication is an "immunosuppressive" botox injections do not put your at any risk for infection. Best, Dr. Emer.
Botox has not been studied in women who are pregnant, however, many of my patients have had treatment without knowledge of their pregnancy and had no issues. The medication is not absorbed into the body at cosmetic doses and is only effective locally. In my opinion you have nothing to worry...
Certainly you can have Botox injections at age 47. The only concern you should have is if you have contraindications.
Thank you for your question. The dropping you describe (which is not noticeable in the photo) is not typical of a response 3 weeks after Botox injections or following Juvederm injections in the cheeks. If it persists, follow up with your injector. Good luck.
More than likely your eyebrow droop was from the location of your botox and improper layer as well. Medial brow ptosis or descent of the central brow can occur for several reasons: Botox placed too low within the frontalis muscle along the forehead including central forehead. The frontalis m...
