Is it safe to have Botox in my face if I have an injection for my psoriasis called Ustekimumab?

Botox has no effect on this medication and although the medication is an "immunosuppressive" botox injections do not put your at any risk for infection.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Botox is generally safe for psoriasis patients who are on one of a variety of medications, including Ustekinumab.  We have treated many patients with Botox who also happen to have psoriasis and are on similar medications. 

There should be no problem receiving botox while on Stelara.  As mentioned below, I also agree to see a board certified dermatologist who reviews your medical history.  

There should be no problem doing Botox treatments while on Stelara for psoriasis but I would still recommend that you see a board-certified dermatologist and review your entire medical history and medications during your consultation.  Best of luck.
