Why is my smile so uneven? Is it due to uneven lips or uneven gums?

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. The human face is a symmetrical. The shape of the mouth is in many ways, determined by structures that are far away from the mouth itself. Movement of the mouth is based on muscles that have the origin from your cheekbone down to the base of your chin, you cannot access the mouth, without having context of the rest of the face. The asymmetry is probably more related to facial, skeletal asymmetry and you’re simply seeing this in a midline structure. Most facial a symmetry is based on bone structure. Attempts and correcting facial, a symmetry which soft tissue manipulation it generally just creates two different asymmetries , because all people have asymmetrical faces the human brain is accustomed to seeing facial a symmetry as being completely normal. When we see purely symmetrical faces from computer generated images, they have an odd, strange and unfamiliar appearance. Facial symmetry is not an aesthetic ideal.
There’s no shortage of people happy to take your money, especially when it comes to aesthetic procedures. For most people who have baseline facial a symmetry it is generally better to leave it alone and except it as being normal. The rest of your body is highly asymmetrical as well. All internal organs are placed asymmetrically and people are usually right, handed or left handed.
The idea that the human body, including the face is supposed to be symmetrical is not accurate.
