Immediately after having my lips done, I noticed an oval shape puffiness on the right side, away from the actual lip itself. A couple of weeks later, the exact same puffy shape showed up on the left side, in the exact same location. Is this migration? It’s strange that it’s so symmetrical on both sides.
Answer: Swelling & Lumps after Lip Augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip filler typically does not migrate. Fullness on the white part of the lip after lip augmentation tends to be due to either too much volume injected or too many treatments performed. You have had multiple lip augmentation treatments before this one, you could be seeing it's cumulative effects. To gain clarity on your particular situation, this would be best addressed by your physician. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Dissolve to make lips until desired look is met Filler migration, swelling, and granulomas can cause significant discomfort and cosmetic ramifications. Our office specializes in the use of enzymes and filler reversal techniques without hyaluronidase to help improve the results of botched cosmetic fillers, whether caused by Juvederm, Restylane, or foreign fillers. Our plastic surgery institute provides expertise in filler removal. We begin by examining the facial fillers and assessing the likelihood of fluctuance or liquid volumization. If appropriate, we use Hylenex, or other filler reversal agents to reduce swelling and filler migration. Hylenex can be targeted into the areas of concern using multiple layered injection techniques. If the filler does not completely resolve, then additional concentrations may be employed. The technique has the potential to reduce the filler and may slightly impact normal hyaluronic acid. Treatments are repeated and results can improve immediately and with time. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Migration? Hello! From the photo, this does not appear to be filler migration. I would suggest using a soft product such as Juvederm Volbella to soften the appearance of these peri-oral lines that have resulted from your lip augmentation. Hope that helps!
