More and more frequently we see late inflamatory reactions in the form of lumps, including granulomas, after use of fillers. Some of them may need treatment which may be very complex. It is very likely that you may develop similar reaction after every new injection of filler, in perticular if the same agent is injected. That should be discussed with a qualified MD rather then your injector. Good luck.
Hello. Thanks for asking. Granuloma is an inflammatory side effect. Its not a rule you will always have it. If its already dissolved, after 2 weeks you may have another filler and have good results. Its safe to have fillers yes. An evaluation is always needed to know if you are healthy enough to have HA facial fillers special for the lips. Every brand have their Lips Fillers. One of the best ones are Vivacy, Teoxane, Restylane and Juvederm. Good luck in your new treatment and dont forget to follow up with your aesthetic physician.
Granulomas are pretty unusual from the use of fillers, but virtually anything can cause them to form in certain areas. A granuloma is the body’s overreaction to an injury that does or does not exist.First step is first and that is getting yourself diagnosed and treated.Neither one of these are particularly difficult, and should be easy to handle by your provider. Most likely you’ll have a normal future response to fillers, but no one can tell you for sure if your chance of having this happen twice is greater than the general public.Get your granuloma, treated and cured and make sure it doesn’t require and then you can consider what you want to do.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD

For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you...
