Rhinoplasty after Mohs - is it safe and possible?

Hello i just had mohs surgery 3 weeks ago. It was a direct closure on side of the nose. So no flap or skin graft was needed. I want rhinoplasty in Turkey in 3 or 4 months time! Is this safe and possible? I have read mixed things about if you can have it after mohs.

Thank you for your question. It can take a full year for a scar to mature. Given that the Mohs procedure was performed only 3 weeks ago, I would likely recommend waiting a full year for that scar to mature before going forward with a rhinoplasty. As the scar matures, it can contract and distort the nose and, therefore, you want to know what the final result is going to be before going through with rhinoplasty. With that being said, without seeing your Mohs defect and repair in-person (the size and what structural parts were involved, if any) it is difficult to answer your question. I recommend consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty for an in-person consultation and they will be able to give you a better idea of the timeline.
