It has been just over 6 months since I had a Mons Pubis liposuction done. I believe it was Vaser liposuction. After the procedure, I had a lot of scarring/fibrous tissue. It has reduced about 10% and is no longer tender but the remainder of the fibrous tissue is tough and hard. Nothing reduces it. I've tried massage therapy, peptide injections, heat therapy and more. What are my next steps? I was thinking of Kybella/Coolsculpting in the region although that may cause more scarring.
Answer: VASER Hi-Def Liposuction, VASER Liposucton, 360 Liposuction, 360 Lipo, Kybella, Coolsculptinh Hello, Thank you for your question about addressing fibrosis and scar tissue six months after undergoing mons pubis liposuction. Healing and recovery times can vary significantly among patients, especially with more aggressive liposuction techniques like VASER liposuction. Given your situation, there are several approaches you can consider to manage and potentially reduce fibrosis and scar tissue: Deep Tissue Massage: This should be performed by a certified massage therapist. The manual manipulation of the tissue can help break up scar tissue and improve circulation, aiding in the healing process. Deep Tissue Vibration Therapy: Using a device like a TheraGun can provide deep tissue vibration, which may help break up the scar tissue. Steroid Injections: Injections of Kenalog (a type of corticosteroid) or 5-fluorouracil (5FU) can be effective in reducing inflammation and breaking down scar tissue. These should be administered by a medical professional. It's important to note that treatments like Kybella and CoolSculpting, which are designed to target fat, are not suitable for addressing scar tissue. Kybella, for instance, works by dissolving fat and might exacerbate scarring by creating more inflammation in the area. Similarly, CoolSculpting is also focused on fat reduction and may not be effective against fibrosis. Given the complexity of post-liposuction healing, it's crucial to consult with your plastic surgeon or a qualified medical professional for personalized advice and treatment. They can assess your condition and recommend the most appropriate course of action based on your specific needs. I hope this information assists you in finding the right solution for your concerns with fibrosis after mons pubis liposuction. Wishing you a smooth recovery and satisfactory results. Sincerely,

Answer: Acoustic Shock Wave Therapy I suggest acoustic shock wave therapy. It is better to start immediately after liposuction, but I think it is worth trying even 6 months later. I would recommend at least 2 treatments each week for several weeks. It is completely painless and takes a few minutes for each treatment. There are no side effects or complications to worry about.

Answer: Revision liposuction Pending a formal evaluation, you may be a good candidate for a Revision Liposuction. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of QWO or Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery, then it will need to be removed: tummy tuck/abdominoplasty for lower abdominal skin; breast lift for excess breast skin; and/or a brachioplasty for loose arm skin. Overall, you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Firmness after liposuction of Mons pubis Make sure what you are feeling is not your pelvic bone! If it is scar tissue, the more procedures done or stuff injected, the more scarring you will have. So best is to give it more time for the scars to soften instead of creating more with CoolSculpting or Kybella

Answer: Fibrous after tissue Management Thank you for your question. Fibrosis is when too much scar tissue grows because of injury. In your situation, scars and fibrous tissue that feel rough are caused by Mons Pubis liposuction. First, scar tissue takes time to soften, therefore you should give it more time to heal naturally to prevent leaving more scars. Injections or further treatments like Kybella or CoolSculpting may make scarring worse. On the other hand, scar tissue may be broken up by using devices like AccentPrime or VaserLipo. Keep in mind that every person reacts differently, so speak with your surgeon to find the best course of action for your situation.
