(Male, 20 years old, 5’10, 206 pounds) Along with having a large fat pad I also have a large stomach and thighs(I am currently losing weight however) Was told by a surgeon that I should wait to get the procedure done until I lose weight, since having a large stomach and thighs would negatively impact the Suprapubic area/puff it up, which would be detrimental to the specific result I want(to bring my fat pad down as much as possible, so more of my penis can be visible).
Answer: Suprapubic lipo Whether to wait to undergo suprapubic liposuction (liposuction in the area above the pubic bone) until losing weight and addressing other areas such as thighs and belly depends on several factors, including your overall health, goals, and the recommendations of a qualified plastic surgeon. Here are some considerations: Overall Weight Loss Goals: If you have significant weight loss goals that would impact the target areas for liposuction (such as thighs and belly), it may be beneficial to achieve some weight loss before undergoing the procedure. This can help optimize the results and ensure that you are closer to your desired body weight and shape. Consultation with a Plastic Surgeon: Schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring procedures. During the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate your overall health, assess your specific concerns, and discuss your goals to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. Combination Procedures: In some cases, undergoing multiple procedures simultaneously or in a staged approach may be recommended to address different areas of concern. Your surgeon can provide guidance on whether combining suprapubic liposuction with other procedures, such as liposuction of the thighs and belly, is feasible and safe based on your individual circumstances. Realistic Expectations: It's essential to have realistic expectations about the results of liposuction. While the procedure can effectively remove excess fat and improve contours in targeted areas, it is not a substitute for weight loss or a solution for loose skin or muscle laxity. Liposuction is most suitable for individuals who are close to their ideal body weight and have localized areas of stubborn fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. Health Considerations: Your overall health and any medical conditions you may have will also influence the timing and safety of undergoing liposuction. Your surgeon will assess your medical history and may recommend addressing any underlying health issues or achieving certain health milestones before proceeding with the procedure. Ultimately, the decision to undergo suprapubic liposuction and whether to wait until losing weight and addressing other areas should be made in consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon who can provide personalized recommendations based on your individual needs and goals. They will consider factors such as your overall health, desired outcomes, and the feasibility of achieving optimal results through liposuction alone or in combination with other procedures.

Answer: A Weight Loss Journey for Optimal Results in the Suprapubic Area Procedure It's great to see that you're actively working towards your health and weight loss goals before getting liposuction. Many surgeons actually recommend reaching a certain weight before undergoing Vaser procedures to maximize the results. Losing weight before the procedure can definitely contribute to a more effective outcome, especially when it comes to achieving your specific goal for the Suprapubic area. Keep up the dedication to your weight loss journey, and when you and your surgeon feel it's the right time, you can consider the procedure again. In the meantime, maintaining open communication with your Vaser surgeon will ensure that you are well-informed and have a successful process.

Answer: Pubic liposuction in men after weight loss The procedure you described, has to not deliver results consistent with what patients are hoping for. The problem tends to be much more related to skin laxity especially after weight loss. Skin laxity is the number one reason patient failed to get impressive results from Liposuction. Despite what seems like something that should work well, this procedure is likely to not deliver. What you’re hoping for. I suggest getting multiple opinions before committing to having surgery. As providers to show you multiple before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had quality outcomes with similar body characteristics. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
