I work at an office but am interested in breast implants. The thing is I cannot really afford to miss work. Is this something depending upon the surgery I could do on like a Friday and go back to work the following Monday?

Answer: Time off work after augmentation mammaplasty Time off work after breast augmentation can vary widely. Job demands such as lifting can influence physician recommendations. Some patients recovery quickly, and returning to a desk job after 3 days can be reasonable. Others, however, take a longer time to feel well enough to resume work. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict how you specifically will respond. Is it possible you will feel well enough after 3 days? Yes. Is it possible you will need to take more time? Yes. I suggest that you discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: Time off work after breast augmentation Generally, yes you can have a breast augmentation on a Friday and return to an office job on Monday in most cases. Most patients are off the narcotics in a few days and can therefore drive. Discuss this in more detail with your plastic surgeon if you are uncertain.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
