Popping sound on incision/scar?

Question

While rubbing bio-oil on scar (4 weeks post BA) where the scars felt hard and lumpy, I heard a popping sound followed by no longer a hard lump there, I could feel it pop as well. This is the 3rd pop sound. I had 325 cc under muscle. I know the dr office said it was normal for the scar to be hard and lumpy.

The best way to tell for sure is a MRI if your plastic surgeon feels it is necessary. Please see your surgeon.

Most likely the sound and feel that you experienced was a suture that had dissolved enough that a little pressure on it caused it to release the rest of the way.  You should call your surgeon's office and discuss this if you are nervous but chances are it was just a dissolving suture and was totally normal!
