I had a closed rhinoplasty done in South Korea on March 6th and I had excessive swelling post op. My skin is very sensitive and always has been. I expected the tip to be more up-turned and that it will relax with time I just want second opinion that this is not too much and it is just due to excessive swelling. My alar folds and septum are still swollen as is the bridge of my nose. My tip is also still quite tender. Aside from waiting on the swelling is this too upturned ?

Answer: Well, it probably will get better over the next month. But... In the six weeks or so after a rhinoplasty, the great majority of the swelling subsides. During that time, the nose tip drops a little. But there's another issue on your nose: the projection. "Projection" is how far forward away from the face the tip of the nose sits, and your nose seems to be quite projecting. There's nothing to do right now but wait, of course, but if I had to guess, I'd say you're looking at a revision, but the surgeon absolutely must have the skills to greatly decrease the projection of the nose in a revision. Many of the revision noses that I do have excess projection after the first operation as one of the primary issues, so the ability to deproject a nose is not widespread in the rhinoplasty surgeons community.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Your nose is upturned a bit. The main problem is that it has too much projection meaning it sticks too fattm out from your face. You need the bridge lowered more then it won’t stick out too fat and will look much better
