The tip of my nose is square and I was wondering if suture reshaping would give it a triangular shape? (Photo)

It should be possible to make your nasal tip less square and boxy. Based on just your one photo it is hard to say what exactly you would need done, but often it is possible to just address the tip if you want to. Often this involve suturing the tip defining points/nasal domes closer together. Tip Plasty for the wide box tip with a suture technique is something I have done for 35 years but often requires other changes to the nose. Ex. When the tip is made smaller the nasal bones appear wider and need to be made narrower etc. 

Your boxy tip can be corrected with placement of interdomal and intradomal sutures. I prefer a closed approach were all the incisions are placed inside the nose. Review photos of before and after prior to your consultation with your surgeon. 

Sutures are used to refine the nasal tip but defatting as well as debulking of the skin is also important in this process. A consultation with your surgeon will be informative as rhinoplasty is a complex procedure with many different techniques that will lead to ultimate result.

 Yes, the bulbous tip can be reduced with suture techniques( intra-domal and inter-domal) applied to the lower lateral cartilages. Without a full set of pictures is impossible to say whether not a tip rhinoplasty only can be performed, versus a full rhinoplasty.  All of this can be accomplished with a closed rhinoplasty approach. While I remove as little tip cartilage as possible to maintain integrity, strength, and shape in tip-plasty surgery I need to see pictures of the entire tip to determine if improved an contour can be achieved with just sutures.
