My main concern was a hump removal and making my nose a bit smaller. However it's been 8 weeks and the swelling is as bad as it was the day the cast was removed. I'm concerned about the lower half of my nose appearing larger and crooked! I also do know my surgeon performed an external osteotomy during surgery. In your expert opinions, is this still swelling?

You can have a more refined nose that is
natural in appearance with a rhinoplasty. I perform these surgeries
with closed technique
to preserve the structure of the nose and minimize visible scarring.

Depending on if your surgeon removed skin grafts during your surgery or not, the time frame can vary. I recommend asking your surgeon for he/she is the best person to answer your question.Best of luck!Dr. Ali Sajjadian
