I have thick skin. I had nose filler 8 months ago,and the doctor told me he can remove the filler during rhinoplasty surgery,do i get good result?
Answer: Will removing nose filler during rhinoplasty give me a good result? Hello @abd j, and thank you for your question. The result depends on both the location of the filler and the approach taken by the plastic surgeon. The approach areas of these areas are typically wide and allow modification of the structure of the dorsum of the nose. Fillers can be removed if there are any. For more information and recommendations, consult with one or several board certified specialists. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Rhinoplasty in thick skinned individuals: Rhinoplasty in thick skinned individuals: you do not show any photos so it is difficult to estimate how much improvement you might expect. Thick skin in the tip area has always been considered a limitation on the amount of definition that can be obtained in the nasal tip. However not all noses need to have well defined or “pointy“ tips to be attractive. if someone has overall a large nose with a dorsal hump, perhaps a nose which is too long with a drooping tip, in addition to the bulbous tip with thick skin, there is room for quite a drastic amount of improvement despite the tip not being quite as well defined as in those patients with thinner skin. there are follow up things that can be done for the thick skin in the tip and Supratip area such as injections with steroid to reduce swelling scar tissue and atrophy the thickness of the skin.
