Using a Rogaine Foam a year after FUE hair transplant? (Photo)

Question

transplanted 1500 grafts last year Nov. My transplanted hair result is no good almost looks like no improvement as before transplant. What I am thinking to use Rogaine 5% Minoxidil. Is it safe for me to use?? Or there is no chance of using Rogaine.

It may take six to twelve months to appreciate the results of a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.There should be no issues with using Rogaine.

Rogaine will only help you at this point. But at 1 year post-op it's doubtful you'll see much improvement in your transplant's results. Now is the time to confer with your surgeon over what may have gone wrong and what you want to do (if anything) to correct it.

Rogaine (Minoxidil) works by making hair follicles thicker and grow longer. At one year follow hair transplant it is generally safe to resume topical Rogaine foam. Unfortunately, Rogaine will not help you grow new hair. I recommend consulting with a hair restoration specialist to discuss the best surgical and nonsurgical options available to you. Good luck.

There is no chance of using Rogaine. First operation is failed and obviously You have to have a new session of hair implantation. That is your only chance .

Thank you for posting your question. Yes, it is safe to use Minoxidil Topical 5% at this stage. You might want to consider using the Topical Liquid versus the Foam Minoxidil, which has a better efficacy. Make sure you continue using it for atleast 9 to 12 months before assessing its outcome. Hope this helps.

By 11 months you should be seeing results.  This would be a good time to visit your surgeon, review your photos and discuss your concerns.There is no reason for you not to use Rogaine.

Yes, you can try minoxidil to see if it might grow some hair but for the failure of the transplant, I would see your surgeon and ask him why his work failed
