I'm 16 days post my FUE op, noticed that some hairs have already started shedding. Is this normal? Not too soon? (photo)

It is normal to shed transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  The new hairs may take 6 to 12 months to grow.  Some hairs may shed earlier.

Shedding of the transplanted hair is perfectly normal after a hair transplant procedure and will occur anywhere from weeks 2 to 6 post op. Continue to follow your doctors post op care instructions and happy growing!

Two weeks is pretty typical, they usually fall out over the course of 2 weeks to 2 months so this doesn't sound like anything to be concerned with. Good luck!

These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it for when the new hair grows, the old hairs from the grafts that may persist beyond 8 weeks, will eventually shed
