Answer: Sources for fat when doing facial fat transfer Fat can be used for facial fat, transfer from any part of the body. Some providers may have preferences from where to harvest the fat, but in reality, it shouldn’t make much difference. The amount of fat harvested for facial procedures is usually quite small in comparison to doing body contouring Liposuction. In other words, harvesting 10 cc, so fat from your arms is not going to have any significant impact on how your arms look. If on the other hand, you want to have arm liposuction, then that fat can definitely be used for facial fat transfer. Personally, I found that arm. Liposuction has one of the highest patient satisfaction procedures that I do of all areas treated with Liposuction. Arm liposuction is technically difficult and results, very dramatically, depending on who you choose as your provider. Patients should be more selective than they think necessary when it comes to choosing Liposuction providers. Poorly done, Liposuction can leave people disfigured and correcting bad results from inappropriately done procedures is very difficult. The number of plastic surgeons who have truly mastered Liposuction isn’t a small minority. There is a significant number of plastic surgeons who are simply not good at Liposuction, I don’t like doing liposuction, and should be avoided. To find the best provider, I suggest patients have multiple in person, consultations during which you should ask providers to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like or how many of these procedures actually performed. I suggested patient start by having at least five in person consultations to help find the best provider. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find a quality provider, but the more consultations you have the higher the chance of finding the best provider in your community. Do not assume that because somebody is board-certified in plastic surgery, has years of experience, and an overall good reputation. They are good at Liposuction. The procedure is much more difficult to master them people believe. Liposuction results vary more based on who you choose as a provider than any other plastic surgery operation.
