Can nipple herniation be fixed?

I've seen before and afters where nipple herniations are still pronounced, and some not. I have a herniated nipple and am wondering if it's something I should ask in my consultation. Is it something that can be fixed?

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Though I see your loose stitch I do not see that your incision has opened but I would talk with your surgeon about your concerns.  They can examine the stitches and determine appropriate wound care to ensure you go on to heal without issue...
