How long does it take for the swelling and handlebar to go away after a SMAS Facelift? (photos)

I had an immediate swollen handlebar next to my left ear after surgery. I contacted the dr and asked if it could be a hematoma. He said no. The next week during my checkup, he confirmed it was a hematoma. He drained it, but the swelling is still there. My doctor said prednisone won’t help.
