My experience with Dr. Kienstra and his staff was nothing short of amazing. From the initial call to schedule a consultation to the the surgery itself and then post operative care and follow up appointments, they have all been great to work with. Their office is a very clean and welcoming environment that helps you feel more at ease and relaxed from the start. The staff makes the process very informative and is always available and willing to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Kienstra is a very laid back guy but also just as professional and takes your concerns seriously. I instantly felt confident and comfortable with choosing him to be my surgeon. He helped to provide a visual of what exactly would be done to my nose and shared the reasoning why behind what he was doing as well. His approach of "if it doesn`t look natural, it doesn`t look good" was exactly what I was looking for. I am more than pleased with the results of my rhinoplasty. My main concern was removing the dorsal hump while maintaining the appropriate size of nose to fit my face as well as not altering the appearance from the frontal view and Dr. Kienstra did just that. The procedure has not only boosted my overall confidence but has allowed me to feel more comfortable with my natural "no make up" look and I would do it again with no questions asked. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I am very happy with Dr. Kienstra`s work!
...read moreDr. Kienstra is very professional and he has always been honest with me concerning the changes I think I need...but he made some other suggestions which worked out even better. I had a lower facelift (Cheek and Chin area) and the results are fantastic. I truly look 5 years younger. The Staff he has are just the best! Always friendly and you never feel rushed in the office. I highly recommend using Dr. Kienstra and his staff if you are considering a lower facelift.
The staff at Dr Kienstra’s office was informative and they put me at ease about the treatment and expectations of recovery. The fact several of the staff have had Halo and shared their own pictures and experience really put me at ease for choosing to have the treatment myself. I had a topical numbing cream and was offered Pronox to lessen discomfort during the treatment. While the treatment is tolerable, I highly recommend Pronox to make the experience even easier. For two hours after the treatment , the area treated was hot. Fan and avene water spray lessened the heat . Today , I am just a little red, no discomfort. Excited to see the end result!
...read moreI have had laser treatments in the past- Microlaser peel, Profractional, The Halo treatment is by far the easiest! Especially the post procedure- no goopy laser balm to put on or deal with. I used the Skin Medica Ceramide cream for most of the days. I also didn't have to hide in the house for 3-4 days. I went to dinner with family I hadn't seen in awhile and they just thought I had been in the sun and gotten some (A LOT) freckles! Fantastic! Jen was the aesthetician that preformed my treatment and she was fantastic - checking how I was doing throughout the treatment, and answering all of my questions. I have heard differently from others, but I did not think it was painful at all - Like an intense BBL procedure for about 2 hours after and then no pain. I was swollen on day 1 - partly my fault as I am NOT good at sleeping elevated, but that went down over the next 2 days. I was able to be in makeup by day 3 if I wanted. I opted not too, because I didn't really need it- and I don't wear makeup daily. I am now almost a full 2 weeks post procedure and I am REALLY happy with the results. The texture and look of my skin is so nice! My husband even noticed that the "lines around my mouth look softer." Thanks buddy.
...read moreI had a bothersome mole on my forehead for years, had other doctors try to remove it, but it came back UNTIL I went to Dr. Kienstra. He did such an amazing job, was so nice and super funny. He made you feel very comfortable. Now I have no scars, it is as if nothing was there. I will never go anywhere else. Staff was so nice also.
I absolutely loved the treatment. Very minimal discomfort. I loved that I didn't have to wear the thick balm after the treatment. I could put make up on 2 or 3 days after. I'm looking forward to doing another!
I absolutely love the results of my laser peel. My skin is smooth & youthful. The recovery period is at least 5 days, expect to swell and avoid the sun for the first week. The results are worth the recovery. The staff in Dr. Kienstras office are professional, knowledgeable, & compassionate, I highly recommend them. Overall a fantastic experience.
The procedure was quick with minimal discomfort. Immediately after I looked and felt like I had a sunburn. That lasted for about an hour. It was the easiest laser procedure I've done. I recommend it!
I had the Halo treatment 1 month ago and was amazed at the damage it removed. On the 2nd day after treatment I looked in the sink after washing my face and could actually see the damage it had removed from my skin. I have had other laser procedures and comparatively, this was very tolerable. I was given topical numbing cream to apply 1 hour before and that seemed to work great. There is a burning sensation afterward that lasts about 1 -2 hours. A fan helped with that immensely. Probably the best part was I didn't look scary afterward. I had prepared by husband for what I might look like, and he was surprised and said, " You don't look bad, just a red like a sunburn." I am very pleased with the results and feel like my skin in smoother and softer. I was back in tinted sunscreen after two days, and that is all I need to wear now for foundation. I will be 60 years old in December. I will do another treatment in a couple of months to maximize my results.
