When should I see a different after 70 units of Dysport?

Hello, so exactly 3 days ago I received 70 units of Dysport for my 11’s & forehead lines. I still see lines & have movement in that area. I really don’t notice much of a difference. Should I wait longer before I contact the Dr? I went to a great & reputable location. I don’t know what to do! She did say it would take a couple days before I start to see a change. Also, it was my first time.

Hi Steph. Botox, Dysport and Xeomin results take up to 1-2 weeks and last up to 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. I would wait another 11 days or so before following up with your physician.Neuromodulators like Dysport and soft tissue fillers like Belotero can improve the appearance of the forehead by reducing lines, wrinkles and folds. Deeper lines and wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox, fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a combination treatment plan that works for you. Be patient for now, and if you are still unsatisfied with your results after 2 weeks, you may return to your doctor or provider for further advice and care. I highly recommend only seeking treatments from a reputable, experienced injector. Such experts will know the best product to use to treat your concerns, how much to use, and where to precisely inject them (while having an eye for facial symmetry and harmony) to achieve the most natural-looking results.

It is possible to begin seeing some results within a few days of a Dysport treatment, but the full effect can take longer.  I normally tell my patients to wait 1-2 weeks before considering any touch up treatment, if needed.

You should START to see some weakness at 2-3 days on average but it can take longer. For m0e, it takes about a week for Dysport to kick in. You're final result will be after 10-14 days. Lines that are present at rest will be minimally improved. Dysport works on the dynamic wrinkles, ones which appear during movement. Fine lines in the superficial skin are not improved. Also, if your glabella is very strong, as it appears yours is with the 70 unit dosing, you can't expect to have zero or "none" movement. Studies show about 80% of severe glabella lines will become mild or none after treatment with 50 units. After 2 weeks, consider a follow up appointment if not happy or have further questions.
