To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of the proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. We can’t assess what was done during surgery without seeing what you look like before. That said, delivering, consistent quality liposuction results is much more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons with truly mastered this procedure are in a small minority. Mastering Liposuction involves much more than the technical ability to remove fat correctly. It includes the ability to make accurate assessment regarding each individual patient’s candidacy and deliver results that are predictable and consistent with previous outcomes of patients who had similar facial characteristics. A sufficiently talented provider should be able to differentiate who’s going to get quality results and who is not. They should point out these differences explain the level of candidacy and show appropriate before and after pictures demonstrating exactly what the procedure can and cannot accomplish. In the hands of us efficiently skilled provider there should be very little surprises. And the hands of the right provider patient should have a clear understanding of their own candidacy, and be shown pictures of previous patients who had similar facial characteristics, and have a clear understanding of what results are highly likely to look like The number of plastic surgeons of mastered liposuction to the ability of delivering consistent quality results, including making accurate assessments, are far and few between. To find the right provider, I suggest patients schedule multiple in person, consultations with plastic surgeons in their community who seem to have exceptional Liposuction experience. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection a before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had similar facial characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. A highly experienced surgeon should in fact have access to hundreds or preferably thousands of before, and after pictures to choose from. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results, other providers, career or pictures of patients who is facial characteristics, or different than your own is insufficient to get a clear understanding of an average results look like in the hands of each provider, with your results are likely to look like or understanding how many of these procedures they’ve actually performed. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you schedule the more likely you are to find the best provider for your needs. The biggest mistake patients make scheduling only one consultation and then scheduling surgery. This illuminates the ability to compare and select the most talented provider. I recognize that you’ve already had the procedure and are unhappy with the outcome. Revision Liposuction is many times more difficult and complicated compared to primary Liposuction. It may be possible to improve your outcome but in order to do that we first need to make an accurate assessment, and that requires an in person evaluation or at a minimum much better pictures. Considering that revision work is much more difficult than primary. Liposuction didn’t need to find one of the best Liposuction providers goes without saying. The ability to improve the outcome is going to be based on your initial candidacy for the procedure, combined with how the first operation was performed. The most difficult conditions to correct are those of patients who were not good candidates, and had aggressive primary procedures. I suggest scheduling multiple inperson consultations with providers in your community to see if you can find somebody who has the skills necessary to do a revision surgery for you. Understanding your candidacy for the procedure is an important part of maintaining. Hi, patient satisfaction. Not everybody seeking chin and neck. Liposuction are ideal candidate for this procedure..Almost 100% of people seeking chin and neck liposuction have a facial, skeletal imbalance with a mandible that is small and lacking in projection in comparison to the Maxilla. This generally leads to people having a dental occlusion overbite, profile pictures would show the upper lip have a more forward projection than the lower lip. This skeletal Balance creates a premature double chin, loss of jawline, definition and premature jowls. The primary underlying ideology for people developing a double chin is skeletal, not based on fat distribution. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD.
