6 month post op chin lipo - asymmetrical and worse than before. What should I do? (Photo)

Hi, i had chin lipo & buccal fat removal 6 months ago, May 2023. I have seen the consultant twice since and he has reasured me that i still have inflammation and its not fibrosis or fat that i have under my chin. It is now looking abit saggy even, the skin isnt saggy but my chin hangs and is not symetrical. I have pinched parts of my chin to show the thickness in pics. I also have b4 pics. Im 144lb, no weight gain since op. Massage daily, im not sure it is all inflammation. What should i do?

The contour under the chin in your first photograph suggests volume of the digastric muscles and submandibular glands showing more than prior to the liposuction because there has been reduction in the fatty tissue covering them.
If you would like to have definitive answer regarding the source of the volume, an ultrasound examination can help. Ideally, it should be carried out with you sitting rather than lying down. Similarly, a sitting MRI scan can identify the source of the contours that bother you.
It is possible that her deep plane neck contouring which addresses the volume below the platysma muscles can be the way to control the shape and produce a more defined appearance.
Assessment of the characteristics of the skin in consultation as well as possible 3D imaging and computer simulation can help guide treatment options. This

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Assuming that the last few pictures are the "after", I don't see any significant asymmetry that would be any cause for concern. We all have natural asymmetries in our facial skeleton and it is possible that after the procedure, removal of the excess fat has now "unmasked" asymmetry in your mandible/jawbone that was not apparent before. Regardless, it is not significant enough that I think it is worth pursuing any kind of additional action. Plastic surgery is never a game of 100% perfection.
