A size 4/6 5'9" I am not a fat girl. But I cannot wear a crop top, body suit, and look terrible in a bikini. I am ready to research a doctor to fix the problem. I have tried Sculpsure. Didn't work, prefer complete removal now. Looking at photos, what is recommended to fix my problem or type of lipo for such a small amount of fat removal? Tickle lipo etc?
Answer: Liposuction Options for Body Contouring in Slim Person For modest fat removal in flanks and abdomen, I usually recommend standard tumescent liposuction with smaller cannula using iv sedation anesthesia. Occasionally I will just use local anesthesia. For back fat and upper abdomen fat near the lower ribs, I recommend ultrasonic-assisted liposuction, as the ultrasound waves break down the very dense fat in these areas, allowing a more thorough fat removal.

Answer: Liposculpting Liposuction around your waist and upper hips will help make your shape more hourglass. If you can handle staying off your butt for a month, then transferring the fat to the buttocks will take shaping it a step further. Don't confuse this with a full Brazilian butt lift, which is meant to increase buttock size. You can get a lifted, round butt and a narrow waist without changing your size if you use less than 500ml per buttock. The aesthetic vision and skill of your surgeon outweighs technology, so who you pick is more important than what type of liposuction you pick. That said, I use the vaser and power assisted lipo system for liposuction. Ultrasound energy breaks down the fat while sparing connective tissue and nerves. The power assisted aspect limits time spent during the procedure. Liposuction alone can be performed under local anesthesia with medications by mouth to control anxiety and pain. Liposuction with fat transfer is more easily tolerated with IV sedation so you are breathing on your own but much more "out of it" during the procedure.

Answer: Liposuction Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a great candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks, and lower back. This can greatly improve your overall shape with a smaller waist. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: How to attack that waist line "thickening" and get GREAT results?? Ask Dr Ellen That "thickening" of the mid section is surely every woman's worst nightmare! I've found that it is usually a combination of loose skin and localized fat. Although there is no (not yet) a nonsurgical device that will produce the level of skin tightening that we all seek, strategic and aggressive liposuction in the hands of a skilled surgeon can be very effective. You are right that the only way to sculpt this area is "complete removal now." Your pictures are pretty good but don't show a full frontal view. My approach would be to treat the back area and flanks while you lay face down. Then turn you to face up and treat the "front flank" area. In addition, a consultation would determine if any treatment of your abdominal area would also accent your waist. It looks like you may be a little short waisted with a high riding belly button. It's common for that figure to be more straight waisted than a long waisted woman. Aggressively treating this area will improve your chest-waist-hip proportion. Your skin will snug up more than it is now as it will adhere to the slimmer tissue below it.You're on the right track, good luck!In good heatlh,Ellen Mahony

Answer: Lipo of obliques, flanks, or back An exam would be required to confirm whether the waist can be made smaller with lipo and the hips fat grafted to give a rather significant change in waist to hip ratio. Liposuction results are highly surgeon dependent. I think that you will have a great result with the right surgeon. Find a board certified plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials (education, training, experience, favorable patient reviews, certification) who performs hundreds of liposuction procedures each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
