I got post-pubertal gynecomastia/lipo surgery in 2015. The leftover “contour” glands started to grow again due to Finasteride. I plan on continuing Finasteride but I would like to get the glands completely removed. I know steroid-using body builders get complete gland removal and it never returns. So can gynecomastia gland form again if its completely removed? At this point, I would rather have a deformity than have gynecomastia return. I plan on working on my physique heavily post-covid.

Answer: Finasteride and recurrent Gynecomastia Thank you for your question. It is possible to remove the residual glandular tissue and replace it with fat to prevent a contour deformity. Even a few cells left can be stimulated to grow with finasteride or anabolic steroids, so a complete excision needs to be done.
