Tissue edema typically only happens independent areas that are below the heart. Areas below the heart cause gravity to create back pressure on Venus and lymphatic channels. Areas above the heart typically drain with gravity and don’t develop swelling unless there is inflammation. Liposuction causes a substantial amount of initial swelling which typically subsides by about six weeks and results are final by three months. facial edema is atypical unless someone has a physiological abnormality.
Liposuction only reduces subcutaneous fat.
