Is jawline liposuction helping with water retention?

I have both fat and water retention on my jawlines. I want to have jawline liposuction. I wonder if there will be water retention in my jawline after the surgery? Or if it is the fat-cells that retain the water and if there is no fat, there is no water retention? Thanks for your help! regards
