My doctor assures me that my stomach will get flat. I am unhappy with results. 3 of the pictures are showing me doing a plank position, I feel like I still have fat and loose skin. I am trying my hardest to avoid tummy tuck. Do not need my muscles tightened.I workout. I would rather to it the old fashioned way. Sit-ups! And trying to avoid large scar. What should I do at this point? All advice is appreciated.
Answer: Is this edema/swelling or still fat/loose skin? Hello. Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. A personal examination is needed to determine what your bulge is. Please schedule a follow up appointment with your surgeon. If not possible, schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

Answer: Liposuction results Dear borntojump777, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: Liposuction Recovery borntojump777 I appreciate your concern, however it can take as long as six months for all swelling to resolve after liposuction. In the meantime, a solid diet and exercise program will certainly help maintain your results and probably improve them. After 6 months passes, you can assess the possible need for Tummytuck. The effectiveness of J plasma and skin contraction varies significantly. Discuss your concerns with you Plasticsurgery. Good luck.

Answer: Loose skin v swelling Dear borntojump777Thank you for your question. We have just added J Plasma to our practice and while I do not have a lot of experience with it yet, the skin tightening is progressive over the first 6 months or so. That said your photos do indicate that you do have some moderate skin excess. You are at 3 mos post-op; I would give it at least 6 months. You should bring your concerns to your surgeon, but be patient. Hope this helps 7 good luck.James Sheridan, MD
