Will I need a breast lift? Or could I just do implants? (photos)

hello im 5’5 and 184 pounds and I’m curious to know could I just get a breast augmentation with implants or will hiabsolutely need a lift I’m currently a 36B bra size and I want to be in a D cup so I’m going for a bigger breast size I want to have children and the future and breast-feeding has always been very important to me is there anyway I can just get breast augmentation without a lift

Based on your posted photos- it appears that you would benefit from a breast lift- to make your breasts perky and balance out the asymmetry ( with smaller implants -since you desire more volume).
In your current condition- you are not a candidate for a breast Augmentation alone.
 If you want to wait until you have kids- then you should wait. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and discuss your options and details during your consultation

Thanks for the question. To get your desired results and symmetry, you would ideally need augmentation with implants and uplift procedure. the uplift procedure will improve areola asymmetry and bring them at same level. You can consider fat transfer as an option for breast augmentation using silicone implants. Breast feeding can be affected with these procedures and you should thunk carefully before defusing on these procedures.

The implants need to be centred behind your nipples, and because your nipples are located below your breast fold, they may sit rather low on your chest if you don’t get a breast lift. You won’t have fullness in the upper portion of your breasts either. For these reasons, a breast lift is recommended.

Thank you for sharing this question and photos. If you desire to refine the appearance of your breasts, it is necessary for you to specifically describe what bothers you. If you are looking to enlarge and lift the breasts, there are many treatment options. The breast lift/mastopexy addresses the sagginess of the breast by removing excess skin and the breast augmentation/ breast implants will add volume to the breast. It would be helpful to see before and after pictures from real patients to see if surgery is something you would be interested in. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and has plenty of experience in breast augmentation & lifting surgery. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. A breast lift Willis give much better results and improve right to left asymmetries.

However, if breast feeding is important, I would not recommend a lift until you are finished having children. (A lift will disrupt breast tissue, ducts, and limit milk production Also, some women are unable to breast feed regardless of any surgery).

You can have augmentation, which will enlarge your breasts, but they will still have the same shape, especially without a bra.

Theoretically, you may be able to breast feed with implants alone, but not guaranteed.

An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to best discuss your options and expectations.

Your breasts are low on the chest wall. Adding large implants will result in large low breasts. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. You may also consider a tummy tuck. A tummy tuck will flatten your abdomen, make your breasts appear larger and fat can be harvested from the abdomen and transferred to the breasts if additional volume is desired.

determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

Thank you for your question. I recommend you breast lift with implants. Your nipples are very wide. D cup will be also too large for your frame. My recommendation for you is to go through with the breast lift surgery first. After you heal completely then breast augmentation surgery will be beneficial for you afterwards.Best wishes.
