Why do I have discoloration after cellfina done 2 months ago? Will it go away? (photos)

It’s been 2 months since I had cellfina done. The bruising was gone within 3 weeks however the treatment left behind discoloration of my skin.

It's difficult to tell from your pictures. Hyperpigmentation can be improved with a combination of Cosmelan, lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question and posting your photos. You most likely are seeing hemosiderin staining. Hemosiderin is a breakdown production of blood as the red blood cells release their iron. It  can occur in areas where bruising has occurred. This should lighten over time and will likely go away. Treatments include lasers and IPL treatments.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
