Is this degree of swelling normal or indicative of something? Will it hinder recovery/how long? (photos)

Should I expect it to this degree? Full body Vaser incl. ankles 5 days ago. Understand swelling is normal but got worse yesterday when resuming work (desk job) with no change overnight. Today is much worse and I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get my clothes off they were so tight. See photos below of feet. Side note: I did have occasional swelling on my ankles from sitting too long prior to surgery and utilized compression socks to help.

hello bbnb  Final results can be seen 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined. These contours can even improve throughout the year after surgery. #swelling #post-op

Recovery time is a large variable among all patients. Some are quick less than 1 week. While others take over a month. Guess you are a longer recovery patient Sorry. Best to see your surgeon to discuss options to help recovery.

Unfortunately swelling is common after any type of Vase Procedure,  but usually it is not a major problem.  The more difficult and more fat removed may be related to the amount of swelling.  In other words if the procedure was  traumatic and a large amount of fat was removed the risks of having more swelling goes up.  More trauma may equate with more swelling.  More areas treated may also relate with more swelling.  Yes there are many factors that may contribute to the amount of swelling and bruising after any procedure.  If you are just having a small amount of fat removed from love handles the risk of selling is much less than if you had a large amount of fat removed from your abdomen.
