I’ve had an Otoplasty and wouldn’t want to risk any procedure that might impact that correction. #1) Once the Lipo is completed, will the results be permanent? #2) I take a 0.1 mg dose of Clonidine daily (for blood pressure). Will that be an issue? (The fat under my chin is slight and hereditary; I’ve always wanted it corrected).
Answer: Chin liposuction and otoplasty Jawline and chin liposuction will not adversely affect your previous otoplasty. Depending on your skin laxity, you may want to discuss minimally invasive skin tightening procedures as well such as Facetite, Profound, or some other means to tighten skin. Good luck

Answer: Chin Liposuction Hello dear Thanks for the question and provided information as well. The answer is no, your ears wont be involved if you have a chin liposuction. I recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon for a good evaluation and to talk about your goals. Good luck :)

Answer: I'm a 66-year-old male and have questions about chin liposuction At age 66, there's going to be significant skin inelasticity in the neck, and removing fat in the neck will only make this problem worse. Most patients in their mid to late 60s require a lower face and neck lift which accomplishes tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, and removal of the fatty deposits in the neck simultaneously. With regards to your blood pressure, it's important to get that under control so that you not do not have a hematoma. Best to seek advice from your primary care physician about your blood pressure. Performing liposuction the neck or a face/ necklift will not change shape of the ears

Answer: Liposuction under chin, would it affect my ears. Normally liposuction of the neck/under the chin involves 3 very small incisions: one immediately under the chin and one below the earlobe on the neck. Through these 3 incision evenly distributed liposuction can be performed to achieve smooth and symmetrical fat reduction. The incisions below the earlobe on the neck will not affect your otoplasty results whatsoever. Best wishes.

Answer: 66 year old male and have a few questions about a Chin Liposuction. Hi, non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. Liposuction of the neck will reduce unwanted fat but will "not" shrink or reduce excess looses skin. In fact at 66, the amount of excess skin would be expected to increase after removing fat. The Otoplasty would remain unaffected. Fat reduction is never permanent as an increase in weight will go everywhere, including the neck, there are just fewer fat cells to enlarge as some were removed with liposuction. I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Hope this helps.
