Should I be bruising this much on thighs after tummy tuck? (Photo)

Bruising is certainly expected after a tummy tuck, and different patients will get different amounts of bruising.  In the situation you describe, where you went back to surgery to stop some bleeding, it would be expected to have additional bruising.  This bruising can show up a bit later as it works it way towards the surface where it is visible.  Also, gravity tends to pull the bruising down, so to speak, and you can see bruising on the thighs from a tummy tuck where no surgery was done on the thighs themselves.  Keep close followup with your surgeon to make sure things are progressing properly. If you feel concern and the bruising continue worrying you could ask about it to your plastic surgeon. It can be normal to have bruising. Everybody's response to surgery is different. It is more likely in your scenario since you did have bleeding after surgery.  . If you have any other concerns please consult with plastic surgeon

Post operative bleeding complications take a few months to totally resolve. Best to have very very close follow up with your chosen surgeon...
