Swelling can persist for many months after surgery. The incision sometimes feels firm and swollen for the longest period of time. One reason for this is that there are numerous sutures below the skin that can take many months to be absorbed. Even after healing, the tissue can remain firm or indurated for several additional months. Try to be patient. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
Post op swelling is normal and can easily last for 12 weeks, sometimes longer. Your surgeon would be happy to help you understand this and you should bring this to his/her attention at your next visit.
I think you will probably need a revision. might need to wait 6 months to a year for things to loosen up. I am sure your doctor will be able to make things right. my guess is that he is not thrilled either
I am going to assume that you have a tummy tuck. If that is the case and you feel pain in your abdomen after a bowel movement then you need to revisit with your plastic surgeon as soon as possible for re-examination
