A recent illness has caused some unexpected & unwanted weight loss leaving my face looking gaunt, any suggestions what I can do? I’ve tried eating more thinking if I gained weight I could fix it, but no matter how much I ate I still have this gaunt sickly, hollowed out look, and I have only been able to gain back 3 pounds out of the 15 I lost. I was very ill for 2 and a half years, but I’m well now. Any suggestions as to what to do? Fillers maybe? I’m 38. Thank you
Answer: A recent illness has caused some unwanted weight loss leaving my face looking gaunt any suggestions what I can do? (photos) Thank you for your question and photos. Judging from your photos, and your age, I would suggest Sculptra as the appropriate filler. It is the longest acting filler, and it can be injected in small quantities virtually everywhere replacing your lost volume. Other products can be used as well, but my suggestion for your problem is Sculptra.Best of luck to you. I'm glad you are over your sickness.

Answer: Fillers for a gaunt face Thank you for your question! Fillers are a great option. When you lose weight, you lose facial volume. Fillers can restore that volume. Dermal fillers are injected into the skin to fill out hollow or sunken cheeks, without the risks of going under the knife. Certain dermal fillers stimulate your body to produce it’s own collagen, so the benefits continue even after treatment. I wish you the best in your recovery.

Answer: Fillers for Cheeks Thank you for including your pictures and your question. I am sorry for your illness however; it looks like you are moving forward. Losing volume from the face can easily be replaced with dermal fillers. I would recommend an in person consultation with an injector to evaluate which filler is best for you. In my practice we only use Allergan products. Best wishes
