Skin graft to columella at the same time as revision? (photo)

Question

Do any revision rhinoplasty doctors also perform skin grafts at the time of surgery? My skin is in bad shape from previous surgeries. I am assuming this is specialized.

It is hard to determine if a treatment plan is right for you or not with no history/photos or physical examination. I highly recommend against skin grafts during rhinoplasty procedures as they are too thin and do not resemble the actual soft tissue envelope of the nose. They are also aesthetically not pleasing as they are usually a color/thickness/consistency mismatch. I would recommend finding an expert rhinoplasty revision surgeon.

Hello and thank you for your question. I would not recommend a skin graft for this situation. There are likely many other maneuvers that could help improve your columella. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
