Having to return to office job 1 week after BBL surgery

Question

I have to return to my job where I sit in an office 8 hours a days, 5 days a week. I can only take 1 week off of work after the BBL surgery. Can I sit on a BBL pillow only while I am at work 1 week after the surgery? Will sitting on a BBL pillow 1 week after the surgery ruin my results? I feel like standing while I am at work all day would not work for me because I would get uncomfortable very quickly. What else can I do to be able to return to my job 1 week after the surgery?

Hello, thank you for your question. 8 hours of sitting will not be a good a idea for fat survival. I would try to perhaps move to a standing desk if possible. See if you can break some of that time such as 4 hours of sitting and standing as much as you can. A butt pillow is a good idea but not the same as standing or laying on your abdomen.

I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
