Recovery time for small Tummy Tuck Revision? (photo)

Question

Wondering about recovery if I chose to move forward with a revision. Just a little bit of fat above the scar. Surgeon suggests a 6 inch cut and remove the fat. All in office with local anesthesia. Not lipo. Can I assume this will be nothing like the original TT? And what would recovery look like.

I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

Your surgeon will be able to advise you on the expected recovery based on your surgical plan.  From what you have described, the recovery should be minimal with some routine care of the incision managed at home.  Your surgeon should go over post operative instructions with you.

The correct person to ask you a question two is your surgeon since he or she knows exactly what they have planned for your revision.
From what you describe the recovery should be much easier than the primary procedure. Typically what makes the recovery from a tummy tuck so difficult is the muscle tightening.
Skin surgery or skin and fat surgery typically are not particularly painful afterwards.

It typically feels tight and like a pulling and tugging sensation.

A little uncomfortable when moving around for the first week or so.

I think the recovery will be easy and hopefully the revision itself will be as well.
