Tummy tuck revision. Is it true your organs are moved around with a tummy tuck?

Tummy tuck removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, and for some patients involves tightening the abdominal wall as well.
The intra-abdominal space (where your organs live) is not involved with a tummy tuck. As such, your organs will not be moved around.

A tummy tuck removes fat in front of the abdominal wall, as well as excess skin. Any abdominal muscle separation is typically also corrected. The space where your organs are is not addressed and the organs are not moved. Hope this helps!

If you consider your rectus muscle an organ then that is moved with muscle tightening during a tummy tuck.

Otherwise it takes a little more to move your internal organs then tightening the abdominal wall.

Perhaps something was said in a certain context leading you to believe that organs were moved during this procedure. The skin is also an organ in fact it’s the largest organ in the body and that is moved substantially during this procedure.
