Should I cancel surgery and get 2nd opinion because my dentist is concerned with oral surgeons notes?

Missing molar 31. I only have #30 which aligns with #4 so an implant is need. Oral surgeon said I had enough bone/ bone grafts not done in that area/ he could place smaller implant. He said it’s not ideal but it could work, and it’s up to me. I scheduled surgery, and then saw my dentist. My dentist saw his notes which stated “Guarded prognosis, Severe ridge resorption,” and my dentist tried to talk me into getting 2nd opinion because of the “guarded prognosis”
