Fixed Full arch dental implants : these are used when the amount of bone is enough to place implants and make them look natural otherwise it is indicated Retrofitting dentures. I do not agree that fixed full arch is no for life and the other it is, both have the same durability if they are made of porcelain, the difference is the second one must be removed every year by the dentist for maintenance

Hello. What is the difference between fixed full arch dental implants and retrofitting dentures so that they are implant supported and non removable? Do the "teeth" of fixed full arch dental implant teeth ever need to be replaced like retrofitted implant supported dentures do or do they last a lifetime? If so, why do they last a lifetime and implant supported fixed dentures do not? What is the difference between the two? Thank you.

It is important that the dentist who places the implant and the dentist who is going to perform the crown agree for the treatment to be successful.

Missing molar 31. I only have #30 which aligns with #4 so an implant is need. Oral surgeon said I had enough bone/ bone grafts not done in that area/ he could place smaller implant. He said it’s not ideal but it could work, and it’s up to me. I scheduled surgery, and then saw my dentist. My dentist saw his notes which stated “Guarded prognosis, Severe ridge resorption,” and my dentist tried to talk me into getting 2nd opinion because of the “guarded prognosis”

Should I cancel surgery and get 2nd opinion because my dentist is concerned with oral surgeons notes?

the answer is no due because they must perform a new treatment that includes new attachments that must fit perfectly with the crown, this is why a new crown must be placed.

I got my front crowns (8 &amp; 9) replaced with dental implants by a periodontist early Jan of this year. The gum swelling finally went down enough to be able to wear the clear retainer with the original crowns kind of loosely place in it. The problem is I can’t wear the retainer without constantly gagging. I get the abutments placed March 29th, is it worth getting a temporary bridge until then? I’d have to go to different dentist for this as the dentist who did the implants doesn’t do crowns.

The material for crowns that will give you greater naturalness is ceramic or porcelain ( is the same material) , B1 it is a perfect natural color but I recommend that you ask for the shape and stratification of the porcelain

I need to have a combination bridge and implants on teeth five through twelve. I am wondering what material is highly recommended for the most natural looking result (titanium, zirconia; porcelain, ceramic, acrylic)? I certainly don't want plastic looking chiclets! I am also wondering if the B1 shade is considered a "shocking" white or a natural looking white shade and how it compares to A1 (I'm female, blonde, light skin, 60's, 5'4", 112 lbs). Thanks you!

Answering in order to your Questions: 1.You can use the latest invisalign aligner as a retainer, but after a while it can wear out easily since the material is not as durable as a final retainer made of another material. 2.The retainer should be used minimally every night, since teeth can move throughout life with or without veneers, so I recommend that you get a new retainer in the upper arch, minimally to sleep with it.

I recently finished Invisalign treatment and had the bonding on my front right tooth replaced and bonding on my incisors removed and reshaped. My question involves two parts: 1. My dentist said I wouldn’t need a new retainer tray made after fixing the bonding. I want a second opinion. 2 . My dentist never gave me a retainer tray after my Invisalign treatment and I am still using the last tray in the treatment set. Is this typical? Should I be getting a new tray for my post treatment retainer?
